Years ago, I was famous in my social circle for preparing the majority of my meals in the microwave. At the time, I thought the microwave was the greatest invention. My nutrition knowledge was limited to what the popular bodybuilding magazines were selling at the time so I basically thought food was for fuel no matter what the source was. I remember stuffing myself with ground beef cooked in the microwave and mixing it with white rice with just a drizzle of soy sauce to give it some taste. Back then, all I cared about was getting enough protein and carbs so that I could workout and get buff. And who could forget cooking eggs in the microwave. I used to scramble them and watch the eggs grow through the microwave window and then watch them deflate into a rubbery looking pile not thinking of anything unusual. After all, an egg is just an egg no matter how it is cooked, right?
